Apr. 4--ARLINGTON -- Jerry Owens and James Richter see each other once a year: in line at Ameriquest Field on Opening Day. As soon as the gates opened at 10 a.m. Monday, the two Fort Worth residents quickly walked to the first-base line, hoping to get baseballs and bats autographed by Rangers players, who had just started batting practice. "We really love the game," said Richter, 45, who hasn't missed an Opening Day since the ballpark opened in 1994. An announced crowd of 51,541 -- the largest ever to attend a game at Ameriquest Field in Arlington -- watched the Rangers lose to the Boston Red Sox 7-3.
