NANNING, April 3 Asia Pulse - China's Ministry of Commerce has recently launched the project to move the sericulture sector from the east to the west, according to a national meeting on cocoon silk held recently in Nanning, capital of southwest China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

According to the meeting, China will establish a group of state-level quality mulberry silk bases in the central and western regions so as to upgrade the country's competitive edge on the international silk market.
