SEOUL, April 3 Asia Pulse - A majority of South Korean companies remain optimistic about their business conditions in April, adding to evidence that the South Korean economy, Asia's fourth-largest, is on a recovery track, the Federation of Korean Industries (FKI) said Monday.
The monthly business survey index, which indicates companies' outlook for the coming month, was 112.7 for April, compared with 118.9 the preceding month, according to the survey by the FKI.
The March index marked the eighth straight month of the BSI rising above 100, the survey showed.
A reading above 100 means the number of companies forecasting the economy will improve exceeds those expecting a deterioration.
