MUMBAI, April 3 Asia Pulse - Aiming to position itself as the number three brand in sportslifestyle sector in the Indian market, German company Puma on Friday said it would open exclusive stores in the country starting from the second quarter of 2006.
"Our primary aim would be to establish the presence of our brand in India and then look into the financial performances," Puma's general manager in charge of Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Martin Bowen, who was here to announce the launch of some products, told reporters here.
However, he declined to divulge the market share it aimed to grab.
Puma opened its 100 per cent subsidiary in January this year in Bangalore.
