TAIPEI, April 3 Asia Pulse - The government has drawn up a plan to develop technology for producing electricity with biogas by 2008, according to a report by the Council for Economic Planning and Development under the Executive Yuan.
The council said a "bio-economy" will soon develop when biotechnology is employed to explore bio-friendly resources to develop a healthier and sustainable economy, adding that the technology to turn agricultural and animal waste into electricity should take priority in the government's bio-economy program.
