TOKYO-(BUSINESS WIRE)-April 3, 2006-Semiconductor Insights (SI), the leader in technical and patent analyses of integrated circuits and electronic systems, today announced an increased investment in its Japanese subsidiary and associated expansion of its local office.
"Semiconductor Insights' presence and client relationships in Japan extend back to the company's inception in 1989", stated Dr. Doug Smeaton, SI's President and CEO.
"Our long-term commitment to the Japanese market has been duly rewarded and today Japan accounts for over a quarter of our global business. We established a Japanese subsidiary in January 2005 and I am pleased to announce the expansion of this office with two new hires, further improving our local service to, and support of, Japanese clients."
Mr. Norio Fukui has joined SI Japan K.K. as a Sales Application Engineer.
Mr. Fukui brings two decades of technical sales and engineering expertise to his current role including previous positions with Takumi Technology, Synopsys, and Marubeni Solution. As well, Ms. Yuko Sudoh has joined SI Japan to assist with local sales administration. Previously, Ms. Sudoh has worked with IBM, Intel and Nippon Ericsson in similar roles.
