] DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH 2006/0123 31 March 2006 WAITING LISTS CONTINUE TO FALL DESPITE WINTER PRESSURES

The NHS is still delivering fast access to hospital care and making significant reductions to waiting lists despite winter pressures, new figures released today by the Department of Health show.

Data submitted by England's primary care trusts showed that in February the in-patient waiting list went down by a further 2000 patients from the previous month.
