There were strong gains as the Mibtel closed up 1.18 per cent to 29,469 points and the S&P/Mib climbed by 1.34 per cent to 38,206 points. The banks enjoyed a particularly good day, with BPVN (+3.78 per cent to 21.94 euros), Capitalia (+3.33 per cent to 6.91 euros) and BPI (+5.37 per cent to 8.83 euros) leading the way.
