Regarding November's report "Credit Cards: They Really Are Out to Get You," since when are credit cards a necessary part of life? If people don't like the rates or terms, they don't have to get them. What happened to paying for what you received? I do collection work for the credit-card industry and I don't generally see medical bills or necessities on a credit card, but rather dinner, concert tickets, liquor, or other frivolous charges. No one makes a consumer get a credit card, let alone make charges on it. When are people going to take personal responsibility for their financial decisions?
