FROM the Isle of Wight ferries to the 2007 Rugby World Cup - that's the unlikely route Matt Holzl hopes to take.

The 32-year-old Australian is working as a chief officer on Wightlink Ferries' Portsmouth to Ryde catamarans and playing rugby for United Services.

Now he is to represent Hungary in the European group qualifying matches for the World Cup.

Holzl plays for the country in their first group match in the second round …
