Mar. 31--Suffolk County could end up losing as much as $1.3 million in U.S. aid for providing police at Long Island MacArthur Airport - because former Islip Town Supervisor Pete McGowan last year refused to sign the federal grant for the county. The first of the federal money, more than $400,000, would have come to the county this year from the Transportation Security Administration as part of a three-year grant.
