easyCruise addition
We gather that easyCruise has appointed Paul Ellerby, former UK managing director of Costa Cruise Lines, as interim sales and marketing director pending the appointment of a chief executive for the no-frills cruise line.
Ellerby spent five years as md at Costa's London office and brings plenty of cruise and sales distribution expertise to the job.
easyCruise is on the hunt for a chief executive to expand the business, either through newbuildings or by contracting existing operators as franchisees.
A Miami base is also on the cards.
Costa boss Pier Luigi Foschi is taking on a further year as chairman of the European Cruise Council, the ECC has announced.
