CARRIERS using Hong Kong port will have to submit ocean and river cargo manifests electronically from mid-June when the government outlaws paper documents.
This follows the introduction by the government of legislative amendments that will only allow manifests to be lodged electronically.
A government spokesman said: 'The use of electronic services will reduce the time and manpower resources spent by the industry in submitting manifests to the government, thereby improving overall efficiency.'
