LLOYD'S has strengthened its services to the superwealthy, with one of the top underwriting groups announcing a pitch for ultra high net worth personal lines business from a Lloyd's box, writes James Brewer.
Chubb has broadened its appeal to the European market, already strong through its Signature underwriting operation at its Masterpiece Underwriting Centre, by setting up on the companies floor at Lime Street.
The company classifies Signature as the only specialist ultra high net worth team in the market.
While there is no precise definition of a superwealthy man or woman, the policyholder typically will pay a minimum annual premium of GBP10,000 and need cover for a substantial portfolio of assets, including properties in different countries, fine art, wine, jewellery and car collections.
Through Lloyd's box C213, brokers will now be able to place business with Chubb on a co-insured, layered or stand-alone basis.
