Feb. 27--Fabrics are becoming a lot smarter.

Milliken & Co. has produced a breakthrough fabric called DermaSmart that promises to reduce itching, dryness, peeling and scaling commonly associated with eczema, atopic dermatitis or psoriasis conditions.

It will be available in March.

Milliken is the second Spartanburg company that will launch a new fabric technology.
