Dalmiya denies allegations, Board slaps show-cause
Kolkata, Feb 27 (PTI) The blame game in BCCI politics today intensified further with former board chief Jagmohan Dalmiya alleging the ruling Sharad Pawar group of indulging in a 'witch-hunt' and Board Secretary Niranjan Shah slapping a show-cause notice on the veteran sports administrator.
In a day of dramatic developments, Dalmiya addressed a crowded press conference and took umbrage at the charge that he had misappropriated funds to the tune of crores of rupees, and produced a 'point-by-point' reply to each of the charges.
Accusing his adversaries in the BCCI of carrying on a 'witch-hunt' against him, Dalmiya said he had sent a 11-page reply to Shah's note circulated at the Board's Feb 21 working committee meeting on alleged irregularities in...
