Shiite mosque bombed in Baghdad
BAGHDAD, Iraq, Feb. 28 (UPI) -- Another bloody day in Baghdad ended Tuesday with an explosion outside a Shiite mosque that killed at least 25 people, CNN reported.
Earlier in the day, at least 33 people died and 85 more were hurt in three bombings that rocked the Iraqi capital. In one, a suicide bomber set off a vest packed with explosives, while the others involved car bombs.
Sectarian violence has killed hundreds in Iraq since Wednesday, when a bomb went off at the al-Askariya or Golden Mosque in Samarra, one of the most important shrines to Shiite Muslims.
