KOCHI, March 1 Asia Pulse - The fourth Indo-Arab Economic conference, held here on Monday, called for greater cooperation between India and Arab countries, especially in Information Technology, Bio-Technology and Medical tourism.
Addressing the conference, attended by Ambassadors from 11 Arab countries, Abdalmahmood Abdalhaleem Mohammad, Ambassador of Sudan and Dean of the Arab Diplomatic Corps, said the commitment by Arab states to enhance cooperation with India and the latter's 'look West' initiative should focus on a 'pro-active' strategy encouraging investments, partnerships and alliances between the two regions.
India and the Arab nations should cooperate in bio-technology, Information technology and Nano technology, besides space and genome research for mutually beneficial partnerships, he said.
