BEDMINSTER, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 27, 2006--Dendrite International, Inc. (NASDAQ: DRTE) today announced the early European adoption of one of its strategic Marketing Solutions' offerings, Physician Connect(TM). The company signed eleven multi-country Physician Connect agreements in the latter half of 2005 with eight pharmaceutical companies across 24 European countries, marking the growth of Dendrite's innovative capability as pharmaceutical companies are starting to adopt new, regional marketing strategies.
As customer product launch and defense strategies have gained complexity, Physician Connect is one of the new solutions Dendrite has brought to its traditional marketing support business to raise the value and integration of its solutions.
Recognizing the distinct role that doctor influence has on prescriber adoption and prescribing decisions, Dendrite's Physician Connect allows customers to harness this power and deploy educational messages and sales assets directly to prescribers. This prescriber-centered initiative allows customers to achieve enhanced effectiveness in their sales and marketing resource deployment.
At a time when more pharmaceutical companies are focusing their promotional activity on fewer, but more influential physicians, Dendrite's Physician Connect allows customers to focus marketing spend on key local, referral and personal influencers, enabling the optimization of their return on investment, while at the same time delivering the benefit of a coordinated marketing strategy across the pan-European region. The company expects to launch an enhanced version of Physician Connect in Japan in first quarter, 2006 and in the United States in second quarter, 2006.
"We are seeing accelerated interest in Physician Connect, on a local, regional and global basis," commented JP Modde, senior vice president at Dendrite. "This solution is becoming increasingly important as our customers look for ways to target those prescribers that have the most impact on prescribing behavior."
