SEOUL, March 1 Asia Pulse - The Korea National Oil Corp. (KNOC), South Korea's state petroleum company, said Wednesday its 2005 earnings rose slightly from a year earlier, but sales jumped more than 20 percent on increased overseas exploration.
The corporation said its net profit came to 279.5 billion won (US$287.6 million) last year, compared with 271.7 billion won the previous year.
Revenue soared 20.1 percent to 796.8 billion won, with operating profit spiking 73.4 percent to 234.1 billion won.
