ARIBA AND IIMM ANNOUNCE SOURCING EXCELLENCE AWARDS.

NEW DELHI, India--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 28, 2006--Ariba(R), Inc.(Nasdaq:ARBA), the leading spend management solutions provider, and the Indian Institute of Material Management (IIMM), today announced the recipients of the IIMM-Ariba Sourcing Excellence Awards. Designed to recognize distinctive sourcing and supply chain leadership and significant contributions towards this practice, the awards were given in three categories. Mr. Ganesan Subramani, General Manager, Ranbaxy Laboratories, was named Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) of the Year; Tata Steel was given the Corporate Sourcing Excellence Award; and Hindustan Motors received first prize in the Young Material Manager Award, followed by Wheels India and MICO who won second and third prize, respectively.
