SENATOR SCHUMER HOLD MEDIA AVAILABILITY ON DUBAI PORTS WORLD DEAL

The more you look at this Dubai Ports World acquisition and CFIUS' role in it, the secretive committee that approved the deal, the more questions that come up.

The latest, of course, is the report that the Coast Guard, when they did a preliminary security view, said we have no way to know how secure Dubai Ports World is. And then all of a sudden the powers that be in the Coast Guard said, "Well, no, no, no, that report doesn't really count. We've gone over things again."

Well, the fact that the Coast Guard said, we didn't do enough, the fact that, that did not come out raises a whole lot of questions.

And so today, Senator Snowe and I, Olympia Snowe, are sending a letter to the Coast Guard and we're specifically asking about the second review that was done, what was found out, so that the concerns of the people who...
