HARRISBURG, Pa., Feb. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Pennsylvania Governor Edward G. Rendell's proposed budget continues the progress Pennsylvania is making in improving roads and its massive transportation system, PennDOT Secretary Allen D. Biehler, P.E., said today before the House Appropriations Committee.
Since 2003, PennDOT has invested more than $13 billion worth of state and federal funds in highway and bridge projects. The Governor has proposed an additional $130 million for the next fiscal year to further improve bridges and roads.
