Banjul, Gambia (PANA) - A five-day sub-regional workshop on cross-border collaboration to fight HIV/AIDS opened here Wednesday with 34 delegates from Senegal, Guinea-Bissau, Guinea- Conakry attending.

Participants and main stakeholders in the fight against HIV/AIDS would discuss how to improve planning and implementation of cross-border interventions on the scourge in countries within the Gambia River Basin, organisers said.

The UN Development Programme office in Banjul and the UNDP's regional project on HIV and Development for Sub-Saharan Africa based in South Africa organised the workshop against …
