THIS was exactly what I meant when I said we must first invoke change from within before summoning outside forces to chart the course of Malaysian sports.

One week we have everyone, from the Sports Minister downwards, saying there should be a career path for local sportsmen, and in the next instance we are left dealing with decisions that take us in exactly the opposite direction.

It is even more disturbing when such thoughts come from people in the scheme of things.
