EMBRACE - Out Of Nothing (Independiente) EMBRACE came together in the late 1990s, influenced by Britpop kings Oasis and the Verve.

The band comprises the brothers, Danny (lead vocals, guitar) and Richard McNamara (guitar), with Mike Heaton (drummer) and bassist Steven Firth joining from newspaper ads.

They were a minor sensation with their brand of melancholy melodies backed with big, anthemic hooks and a rock feel.

The group won a Brit Award nomination for Best New Band on the strength of a couple of singles.

They managed to develop a strong fan base right from their first album, The Good Will Out, which entered the charts at number one.
