Premier City gains badminton finals.

PREMIER City Club topped the North leg of the Battle of the Courts: Platinum Inter-Club badminton championship yesterday and advanced to the National Finals after going undefeated in seven matches at the Olympic courts in North Edsa, Quezon City.
Premier swept Chut's, 2-0, in the title match with victories in the mixed doubles and the ladies' doubles, joining its victim and Celebrity in the 12-team championship set Nov. 21 and 22 at the Market! Market! courts in Fort Bonifacio.
The North leg featured 18 teams divided into three groups. Unlike in the first three stops, only the top teams in each group advanced to the national finals.
In determining the winner of the leg, Chut's, which topped Group C after four teams withdrew, drew a bye, leaving Premier and Celebrity to slug it out in the semifinals.
Celebrity topped Group A, also with an unblemished 5-0 slate, followed by Don Antonio (4-1), Yellow Feather (3-2), Woosh (2-3), Dream Court (1-4) and Sure Play-Araneta ...
