THE MAKATI City Prosecutor's Office has recommended the filing of estafa charges against actor Phillip Salvador in connection with the P15 million that his former live-in partner, Cristina Decena, had given him.
In a consolidated resolution dated Oct. 25, Assistant Chief Prosecutor Josefa D. Laurente also recommended the dismissal of the case of falsification of documents that Phillip and his elder brother, Ramon, had filed against Cristina, as well as the estafa case the latter had filed against Ramon.
The assistant chief prosecutor recommended the dismissal of the estafa and falsification charges against Ramon and Cristina for insufficient evidence.
Cristina had filed estafa charges against the Salvador brothers with the DOJ. The DOJ in turn referred the case to the Makati City Prosecutor's Office last March.
