AN ALLEGED robber met his end in an encounter with police beside the Manila Memorial Park in Para[currency]aque City early yesterday morning.
The still unidentified suspect was killed in a shootout involving members of the Southern Police District-Special Weapons and Tactics team at about 1:30 a.m. in front of the McDonald's restaurant on A. Bonifacio Avenue, Barangay BF Homes.
Police said dance instructor Ramil Murphy, 37, of 26 Rolls Royce Street, San Francisco, Bi[currency]an, Laguna, was waiting for a ride in front of the fast food joint when the suspect tried to grab his clutch bag.
When Murphy put up a fight, the suspect shot him in the face and hip with a .38-cal. revolver, police said.
Patrolling policemen saw the commotion and immediately responded.
