VIETNAM ATTRACTS MORE FOREIGN CAPITAL JAN-OCT.
HANOI, Nov 1 Asia Pulse - Vietnam has licensed 579 FDI projects so far this year, with a total registered capital of US$1.74 billion, up 17.2 per cent from last year, said the Ministry of Planning and Investment.
FDI now sits at $3.236 billion, including $1.496 billion for use in 388 enlarged operating projects, over the last ten months, up 36 per cent compared to the same period last year.
The ministry reported 43 projects, worth $2.1 billion, are waiting for approval. In October alone, 28 projects were licensed with a total capital of $62.8 million.
Nearly $2.4 billion from foreign investment has been in use, an increase of 5.3 per cent from last year.
