SEOUL, Nov 1 Asia Pulse - An increasing number of airlines are suspending less-profitable routes owing to increased fuel costs from high oil prices, the Transportation Ministry said Monday.
Korean Air (KSE:003490), the larger of South Korea's two national air carriers, has decided to temporarily suspend routes from South Korea to the three Chinese cities - Shanghai, Shenyang and Yantai - until March 26, the ministry said.
The airline has also decided to suspend its routes from Seoul to Amsterdam until March 26 and to St. Petersburg until April 25, it added.
