NEW DELHI, Nov 1 Asia Pulse - The Department of Telecommunications has asked the six shortlisted merchant bankers including Kotak Mahindra (BSE:KTKM), DSP Merril Lynch (BSE:DSPM) and UTI Bank (BSE:UTBK) to put in their bids regarding fees to be charged for advising BSNL and MTNL for synergising their operations.
The DoT has shortlisted six merchant bankers out of 15 who had applied. Kotak Mahindra Capital, J P Morgan, HDFC Bank (BSE:HDBK), UTI Bank, DSP Merril Lynch and SBI Caps are the ones shortlisted. Some of these bankers are making a presentation today on 'how BSNL and MTNL can be streamlined'.
