IRAN, CHINA SEEK CLOSER TIES IN ENERGY SECTOR.
BEIJING, Nov 1 Asia Pulse - Iran`s Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh, who is paying an official visit to China, has met with the mayor of Shanghai.
In the meeting, Zanganeh mentioned cooperation between Iran and China in the fields of economy, trade and especially energy.
He said China`s economic growth and rapid development in recent years has increased its need for oil and gas, making it the world's most important energy market.
Shanghai port city mayor Hun Jeng acknowledged Iran`s importance as an influential country in international scene and expressed his city`s readiness to cooperate with Iran in the field of oil and gas.
