SYDNEY, Nov 1 Asia Pulse - The Australian sharemarket opened higher this morning after an improvement on Wall Street and a kick along in international metal prices on Friday.
"The market has opened strongly this morning thanks to overseas stimulus," ABN Amro Morgan director of equities Bill Chatterton said.
"These were basically the US market and we had the gold price, which also finished up quite strongly and base metal prices, particularly copper."
At 1026 AEST, the benchmark S&P/ASX 200 index was 11.7 points higher at 3790.3, while the all ordinaries firmed nine points to 3795.3.
