TAIPEI, Nov 1 Asia Pulse - The total production of Taiwan's petrochemical sector is expected to amount to NT$1.8 trillion (US$53.73 billion) in 2004, which will represent a growth of 27.3 per cent over last year, according to a report by the Industry Technology Intelligence Services (ITIS) Friday.
The demand for basic industrial chemicals including ethylene, polylene and butadiene is estimated at 591.9 metric tons, and that for aromatics is estimated at 536 metric tons, the report said.
