NEW YORK, Nov 1 Asia Pulse - The Taiwan Futures Exchange (TFE) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on cooperation with the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYME) Friday as part of its globalization drive.
The MOU was inked by TFE President Ho Fu-hsiung and NYME President James E. Newsome in a ceremony witnessed by Kung Chao-sheng, chairman of Taiwan's Cabinet-level Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC).
The MOU follows similar TFE cooperative accords with futures exchanges in Seoul, Tokyo and Chicago, Ho told a news conference held after the signing ceremony.
Under the terms of the MOU, Ho said, the TFE and the NYME will strengthen dialogue, experience exchanges and mercantile cooperation.
