SEOUL, Nov 1 Asia Pulse - Japanese Foreign Minister Nobutaka Machimura will visit Seoul around Nov. 6 to discuss the agenda for the next South Korea-Japan summit and other bilateral issues, a government source said Sunday.
"The government is pushing for Machimura's visit to Seoul around Friday or Saturday," the source said on condition of anonymity.
"He will be able to make the trip Saturday given the Japanese parliament's schedule."
The Japanese foreign minister will pay a courtesy call on President Roh Moo-hyun Saturday, hold talks with his South Korean counterpart Ban Ki-moon and meet with Unification Minister Chung Dong-young before leaving Seoul Sunday.
