EUROGATE expects a big boost for Bremerhaven container handling from its newly opened dedicated terminal MSC Gate.
The new terminal is planned to handle about 70,000 boxes this year and 400,000 next year, based on the existing services.
Europe's largest container handling group is not planning to launch any further dedicated terminals in the immediate future.
Managing director Emmanuel Schiffer said: 'There are only very few lines with which you can co-operate that way.
'The lines must be able to do what they want with the cargo, and they must have enough volume.'
