Norasia Black Sea link

NORASIA, a Hong Kong offshoot of the CSAV Group, has confirmed details of its ABS service, in conjunction with Hapag-Lloyd, linking Asia to the Black Sea and the eastern Mediterranean, writes Sam Chambers in Hong Kong.

The new route, first mentioned in Lloyd's List on September 23, will deploy seven ships of 3,000 teu capacity, with Norasia supplying six of them. Port roration will be Shanghai, Ningbo, Keelung, Chiwan, Port Klang, Damietta, Constantza, Istanbul, Damietta, Colombo, Port Klang and back to Shanghai.

'The Black Sea area has long been an important region for trade and is one of the fastest growing regions of the world today, making it a key part of Norasia's future strategy,' the Hong Kong company said.

RATINGS agency A M Best has affirmed the financial strength rating of A- (excellent) of Aspen Insurance (Bermuda) and revised the outlook to positive from stable.

At the same time it has assigned an issuer credit rating of A- to the company, with a positive outlook.
