Winner of the 1992 Melbourne Cup SUBZERO raced into the hearts of many Australians when he won the 1992 Melbourne Cup. The Lee Freedman-trained grey retired from racing about 10 years ago. But the former champion remains an odds-on favourite with Melbourne's racing public. On big race days, Subzero is ridden at Flemington by his current owner, clerk of the course Graham Salisbury.
