Global Signal reports third-quarter profits.(BUSINESS)

SARASOTA COUNTY -- Global Signal, the newly created real estate investment trust that took over the communications towers of Pinnacle Towers, says third- quarter net profits totaled $6.3 million.

Global Signal's net income for the latest quarter was $6.3 million or 12 cents per share on revenues of $46.6 million. The company has 53.2 million shares outstanding.

For the first nine months of the year, Global netted $5.8 million or 13 cents per share on revenue of $134 million.
