Report to amend blasphemy law tabled in NA.

ISLAMABAD Oct 21 : Report of the standing committee on law and justice proposing amendment in blasphemy law was tabled in the National Assembly on Thursday.

The report tabled by the Chairman of the committee Rai Mansab Ali Khan proposed investigation of the blasphemy cases by the Police officers of the rank of Superintendent of Police (SP).

NA body also approved the draft of Criminal Law (Amendment) Bill 2004 providing severe punishment to ensure crackdown on 'honor killing' and crimes against women.
