POSCO TO SPEND AN EXTRA US$243.5 MLN IN EXPANDING LNG TERMINAL
SEOUL - POSCO (KSE:005490), South Korea's largest steelmaker, said Friday a liquefied-natural-gas (LNG) terminal it is building on the south coast will process more gas than initially planned.
The steelmaker said it will spend an extra 280 billion won (US$243.5 million) for the project at its steelworks in Gwangyang, 423 kilometers from Seoul, to process 3 million more tons of LNG annually.
NEW INDONESIAN TRADE MINISTER DOUBLES NON-OIL EXPORT TARGET
JAKARTA - Trade Minister Mari Elka Pangestus set a growth target of 10-15 per cent for the country's exports of non oil/gas commodities next year or doubling the annual growth rate of 5-7 per cent in the past few years.
Mari said the target, equaling annual growth recorded in pre crisis years, could be reached through good cooperation with other related agencies.
