Nairobi, Kenya (PANA) - The Kenyan tourism industry, which has been ailing due to negative travel advisories issued by the United States, received a major boost Monday night with the arrival of more than 300 British tourists aboard a chartered flight from Britain.

Managing Director of Somak Travel Limited, Suresh Shah, whose company chartered the flight by Excell Airways told PANA from Mombasa Tuesday that the tourists will be staying at local hotels in the south and north coast areas for the next two weeks.

The flight is the first in a series of weekly charters that the company has organised with their UK representatives, the tour operator disclosed.
