On a successful Sunday afternoon, Kendall Gammon is as inconspicuous as a scout team quarterback. On a perfect business day, however, Gammon stands out like a 6-4, 255-pound green thumb. That's because the Chiefs' long snapper also is part owner of a nursery in Kansas City. The nursery supplies a broad spectrum of trees, shrubs and flowers to local developers and landscape architects.
"If you know my name (on the field), there's a problem that happened" says Gammon, in his 13th NFL season.
But Gammon needs customers to recognize the name of his company, Paradise Nursery, located in the extreme northeastern part of the city.
