Mandaue City officials overpaid by P4.2 million.

CEBU CITY - The Commission on Audit (CoA) said Mandaue City Vice-Mayor Amadeo Seno, Jr. and 15 members of the city council have been overpaid by a total of P4.2 million since 1999.
An audit observation memorandum signed by state auditor Carolina Mendez and regional cluster auditor Helen Hilayo said the officials got salaries higher than the mandated amount from January 1999 until June this year.
But Councilor Carlo Pontico Fortuna, one of the allegedly overpaid councilors, said their monthly salaries were in accordance with the Local Government Code in 1991 and the Salary …
