PERTH - Joint venture oil producers Anzon Australia (ASX:AZA) and Beach Petroleum (ASX:BPT) have made a delivery of a $A35 million ($US24.63 million) oil shipment to a Victorian refiner.
The cargo of 400,000 barrels was the second delivery from the Basker-Manta project off the Victorian coast.
INDONESIA'S PGN BOOKS 82% INCREASE IN NET PROFIT TO $94 MLN
JAKARTA - State-owned gas distributor PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN) (JSX:PGAS) chalked up a 82 per cent increase year-on-year in net profit to Rp862 billion (US$94 million) last year.
Income of the publicly listed company surged 22 per cent to Rp5.4 trillion and its operating profit shot up 56 per cent to Rp1.6 trillion.
S. KOREA WINS RIGHT TO DEVELOP UZBEK OIL, GAS FIELDS
SEOUL - South Korea signed an agreement with Uzbekistan Wednesday to explore and develop oil and gas fields in the Central Asian country, officials said.
The memorandum of understanding signed between the National Oil Corp. (KNOC), Korea Gas Corp. (KOGAS) and Uzbeknefgaz, gives South Korea exclusive rights to examine and develop two oil and two gas fields, said the officials at the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy.
CHINESE AIRLINES HIT BY HIGHER JET FUEL PRICES
BEIJING - China's airlines, which have been plagued by sky-high fuel prices, suffered another blow as the country's pricing authority announced a further rise in the ex-factory price of jet fuel, Beijing Daily reported on Tuesday.
According to the decision taken by the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) on Sunday, the NO. 3 jet fuel ex-factory price was lifted from 4,740 yuan per ton to 5,040 yuan per ton, a rise of 300 yuan (US$37) per ton.
