The ground breaking for the University Syiah Kuala (UNSYIAH) Lab School on March 25th marked the beginning of the delivery of a commitment by the United States Indonesia Society (USINDO) to construct an innovative educational facility to help rehabilitate educational standards in the tsunami-ravaged region of Aceh. The Lab School will be a model community high school (SMA, grades 10-12) for the neighborhood around the university and will provide an opportunity for students at UNSYIAH's College of Education and Teaching (FKIP) to practice in classrooms under the supervision of master teachers.
