SYDNEY, March 28 Asia Pulse - The Australian dollar plumbed another 18-month low overnight but still opened slightly firmer today after the looming 70 US cents figure prompted buying of the local unit.
At 0700 AEDT the local currency was trading at US$0.7051/54, compared with yesterday's close of 0.7042/46.
