"We are amazing, but at what costs?" asked Pamela Rehkopf, program manager in the division of Workplace Credit Programs at the University of Toledo OH.

"The ongoing question is 'Why are we still killing ourselves to be the perfect wife, mother, daughter, student and worker?' I understand how we arrived at this place, but what drives us to stay that way?" she continued.

Rehkopf posed that question to students of Karen Rhoda, director of distance and e-Learning in the department of academic affairs and a faculty member in the department of curriculum instruction at UT. The three female doctoral students were part of a discussion thread in Rhoda's online ...
